At Cosmos Cuisine guesthouse restaurant, Elzona Deetlefs is queen! Her experience and culinary prowess are internationally well known and her fine palate is in evidence in every morsel of delectable food that leaves her kitchen. In-house guests will delight in the tastes and aroma's of her exquisite cuisine.
Starting with your buffet breakfast, choose first between a selection of home made breads, muesli, fruit and meat platters, jams and preserves to name only a few of the offered items, and be spoilt with full english options. Special dishes change frequently, and Elzona is happy to cater for special dietary requirements, from Vegan to Gluten-free. Visiting day guests are welcome to enjoy a light lunch in our restaurant.
In the evening a five course culinary experience is presented to be enjoyed by candle light. Cosmos Cuisine has won awards from both BOE and MOET Chandon as one of the 30 top restaurants of the Country. The most exhilarating comments are however quoted in our guests book, saying "the best we had in South Africa". We aim to use fresh produce from our beautiful Valley, as far as possible. This includes the wonderful citrus produced here as well as venison like Kudu, Eland and Gemsbuck.
Each dish is completed with garnish from our herb and flower garden. Cosmos Cuisine's food focuses on the taste and flavour of South African cuisine presented with flair, passion and a constant striving forperfection. From an intimate dinner for two to a celebration banquet for a wedding, or conference or even an anniversary or birthday bash, we will assist you to select the wines best suited to your meal from our walk in cellar Alternatively enjoy our House Wine, cultivated on the Deetlefs family's estate in Rosselville.
After your meal, settle down in our guest lounge, adjoining the restaurant, to enjoy a fine brandy, liqueur or coffee
